During 2020/2021 Martha worked on a consultancy basis to support the development and delivery of digital PR for clients of digital marketing agency Bamboo Nine, combining her traditional PR experience and journalist writing skills with digital PR strategies to boost clients’ online visibility and website SEO.
Proactive press office plans, reactive news-jacking, PR stunts and partnerships generated profile-boosting media coverage and online mentions for multiple clients, including:
- Jonathan Kingshott, CEO of London office provider Halkin, was interviewed for BBC and ITV news, responding to the Government’s guidance to office workers during the Covid-19 pandemic; while Halkin’s Sarah-Jane Hart was interviewed for Nick Ferrari’s LBC breakfast show. Halkin ended 2020 listed 11th out of Britain’s 100 fastest-growing companies in The Sunday Times Fast Track 100 league table.
- Sweet Tree By Browns founder Christina Brown made the shortlist for Confectionary Entrepreneur of the Year in the UK Food & Drink Heroes Awards.
- A feature idea developed with lawyer Edward Cooke on the rise of ‘divorce by Zoom’ during the Covid pandemic generated an article in the MailOnline’s This is Money website and in the Solicitor’s Journal.
- BBC and trade press coverage were generated for Sims Garden Machinery’s Minutes Mowed lawnmowing challenge against global power tools brand STIHL – a fundraising and PR stunt born out of a collaboration masterminded by Martha, STIHL’s events team and national hospice garden charity, Greenfingers.
