When Steve Coogan, Eddie Izzard, Zoe Lyons, Katie Derham and actors Sophie Okonedo and Toby Stephens agreed to lend their support to Sussex homelessness prevention charity HOMELINK during its 20th birthday year, we were asked to help manage VIP involvement and drive publicity for their Anniversary Gala at Glyndebourne Opera House.

HOMELINK is the only charity in the South East of England dedicated to helping people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless into private rented accommodation through the provision of interest-free loans to cover the cost of landlords’ deposits and advance rent. The charity also provides one-off grants to buy essential furniture or carpeting for a new home, as well as grants for emergency accommodation for ex-offenders from Lewes Prison who have nowhere to go on release.

The#homes4homeless Gala was a sell-out success, involving community choirs, world-class musicians and young performers, all with a Sussex connection. Acts included Brighton’s Choir With No Name homelessness choir, classical soprano Dame Felicity Lott, BBC Gospel Choir of the Year winner Lewes Sings Gospel and a prison officer and staff choir from HMP Lewes who had formed especially for a one-off performance at the event.

"We've been overwhelmed with amazing feedback and donations. Thank you to everyone for being such a world-class PR team - unbeatable professionalism."

Pippa Grace, HOMELINK Service Manager
